Pete Edochie has been kidnapped.

In the latest turn of the unfortunate spectre of kidnapping the rich or famous in Nigeria, Veteran Nigerian actor and broadcaster, Pete Edochie was kidnapped on Sunday, August 16, as he was being driven to his home town, Nteje.

Punch on the web reports that Chief Edochie's sister-in-law, Rita Edochie confirmed to the paper that contact with the kidnappers has now been established, and that the ransom demanded in N10 million Naira (£38,000.00)

This is truly another ugly chapter in Nigeria's history. NF
