SWALE LIFE POETRY COMPETITION
(APRIL 2011)
Details Poems must be in English Language on any subject or style with a maximum length of 40 lines. Open to every poet in every country. Poems entered must not have been previously published, posted to a website or blog. The poems must also not be under consideration for publication anywhere.

How to enter online:
1. Select how many poems you wish to enter on the PayPal drop-down button below and click on Pay Now.
2. Pay securely with PayPal. You will be given a Transaction ID or Receipt Number. Make a note of this.
3. Make up a Cover Note with your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number (Optional), and the titles of your poems.
4. Send your poems, together with your cover note as attachments in Word, or rtf formats to excelforcharity@easternlightepm.com in the subject line, type SWALE LIFE POETRY APRIL 2011 followed by your Transaction ID or Receipt number.

Claire Askew holds a Masters Degree in English Literature and MSc in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh, and she is currently reading a PhD in Creative Writing and Contemporary Scottish Poetics. She teaches Literature and Communications at Telford College, Edinburgh. In 2008, Claire won the Grierson Verse prize, the Sloan Prize for Writing in Lowland Scots Vernacular and the Lewis Edwards Award for Poetry.
